Fathers On Line! www.fathersonline.com offers a place where fathers can gather to share their knowledge, and assist & empower other fathers. All fathers are encouraged to speak out! You can become a member, tell others what works for you & what help you may need. A live chat allows users to share resources & become active members. Fathers on line also feature links related to fatherhood & a message board where users can read questions & post answers.

The Down Syndrome Network offers a range of information, resources & online services to the international Down syndrome community. It provides information & services for families, caregivers, professionals & researchers. It also provides articles, books, a discussion list & new services about various issues and topic areas, including Adolescence Adulthood Education, Early Development, Health, Infancy, Language, and related International Issues. The Development of Language & Reading in Children with Down Syndrome: Memory Training for Children with Down Syndrome describes practical steps for encouraging memory development with simple memory games.

MCH Alert! The National Center for Education in Maternal & Child Health (NCEMCH) seeks to make maternal & child health (MCH) news & policy more accessible to policymakers, teachers, advocates, students & researchers in the field. There is a free weekly electronic newsletter. MCH Alert provides timely MCH research & findings, policy developments, information on recent publications, conferences & new programs affecting the MCH community. Every Friday the newsletter is distributed across the country to many members who are a part of the listserv. Subscribers on the listserv can review past archives, subscription information, have access to other links & resources & to specific topics in past issues of the newsletter. Project News… The ICC Parent Leadership Support Project announces that its new project co-directors are Richard Robison, Executive Director of the Federation for Children with Special Needs, and Barbara Popper who has worked on the NECTAS Financing Team and on Family Voices’ maternal and child health projects at the Federation. Rich and Barbara are working with Brad Arndt and Marilyn Gutierrez to arrange the first ICC Parent Leadership Institute this spring. Dates and locations are being finalized. States interested in learning more about the Institute should contact either Barbara (617.236.7210 x 122; bpopper@fcsn.org) or Rich (617.236.7210 x 183; rrobison@fcsn.org).
