"How can I benefit from the project listserv?"The National Parent Leadership Development Project for ICCs is pleased to maintain the ICC Parent Leadership listserv. The purpose of this listserv is to facilitate networking and discussions related to the unique leadership challenges and opportunities for parents serving on local, state, and national interagency coordinating councils and committees.
The listerv makes it easy for ICC parents to communicate with each other. A listserv creates discussions among a group of people, but instead of sending a message to one person, you send the message to an email address that sends to the entire list of subscribers. The message is then redistributed to everyone who subscribes to the list. Reading a list is a matter of reading your email.
Participants on the list can easily find out what other state and local councils are doing within their communities. The list will also feature a series of moderated discussions on specific topics related to council work. Listserv members can also check for current resources developed by councils across the country related to parent leadership.
The ICC Parent Leadership listserv is a closed list, which means that subscription requests are made to the list moderator. Send subscription requests to Marilyn Gutierrez at: marilyng@fcsn.org
If your address changes or if there are parent membership changes in your ICC, please let Marilyn know. Subscription requests will be accepted only via email to ensure accuracy.
